Almost everyone believes in something. Some believe in a higher power. Some name their belief simply as “love.” Choosing to believe in nothing creates hell in that person’s life. Not a literal place but a living hell. While I have found meaning and profound joy through my faith in Jesus Christ, I don’t assume everyone can make the leap from nothing to where I am. But my heart breaks for those living in nothingness. You don’t have to live that way. Choose to believe in something good and positive and beautiful. Start there. That is the place where we can meet each other and change the world.
As a good friend once said to me, “I’ve seen the best and worst of humanity simultaneously. And the best always wins.”
Choose the best. Fight for the best. It will make all the difference.
