But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV

Starting something new can be hard.

Whether its a new diet, new job, or new school, the newbie is at a disadvantage over those who aren't so new in the endeavor. Sometimes the only thing pushing us through is our excitement about the possibilities.

So as I start my new job, full of hope and possibilities, I have to remind myself that this excitement will fade.  And I will need strength that I don't quite have to persevere.

But it would be a mistake to let those times be my first opportunity to let God's strength in.

Therefore as I start my new adventure in ministry I will be more purposeful about seeing God's presence from the beginning. After all, it is not a matter of me making room for Him to shine. It is a matter of Him graciously working through me and the team for His glory.

Until Everyone Hears,
