Great Quotes

My best friend from High School, Jennifer, and I used to play an unofficial game when we were teenagers. It was the "Who can use the most movie quotes during the day" game. We were (are) movie freaks. Not totatly obsesive but we both have a great appreaciation for good movies and sometimes even mindless stupid movies. Quoting movies helped us remember the good ones and laugh at our happy memories.

I've always appreciated good quotes. Recently when I was re-reading the Harry Potter books, I realized what GREAT quotes there were in each book. Most of them by Dumbledore. I started writing them down and noticing other great quotes that caught my attetion. Whenever I needed a bit of inspiration (apart from the Biblical kind), I'd open my list of quotes and feel better. So I thought I'd share them. Let me know your favorites too.

After all to the well organized mind death is but the next great adventure. -Albus Dumbledore book 1

The truth is a beautiful and terrible thing and should therefore be treated with great caution. -Albus Dumbledore book 1

-Albus Dumbledore book 4

You fail to recognize that it matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be!

-Albus Dumbledore book 4

I love these! Thanks for sharing and taking the time to isolate them. I'm feeling some pressure to read the series now. My son is on Book 4 and loving them. I just finished "Life of Pi" and am starting "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I hope my Ben is catching some meaning from these quotes with his 11 years of age:) Jill

I LOVE "Eat, Pray, Love"!! Of course I think I gained about 10 pounds just reading the "eat" section but it was such a beautiful and spiritual book! I think as Christians we (the royal we) forget the importance of meditating on God and being "one" with God. She really applies the notion of mind, body, and spirit in her book.

Strategic Checklists

The Power of a Good Checklist I love a good checklist. That hormonal rush that comes with checking something off of the list is intoxicating...
