And yet these colors and textures bend and weave around each other to mimic a garden or some other part of creation.
The Bible says that when God began to create the heavens and the earth they were void and He spoke them into being.
I'm thankful that God creates from a void - because that's how he recreates me.
A few years ago I was going through some personal issues. It was a hard time in my household. It was a hard time at church. It was just hard.
I felt empty. I tried to self medicate with food, alcohol, and social media. Nothing felt right. And yet slowly over time, God was recreating me out of my emptiness.
I'd like to say I turned out as beautiful as a Chihuly piece but I know better than that. I think we all did. All our colors and textures bend and weave together and when we look around at creation its hard not to say - "Woah - that's good!"
